Imaginarium

The pieces on display at Gamut Gallery's current show, "Imaginarium," are as colorful as a bag of Skittles. The exhibition features the work of Kate Renee and Brett Early, two local illustrators with complementary styles. Renee's paintings feature a rainbow collection of troll dolls, overflowing beer steins on wood, pink clouds, and a series of Little Tykes toy characters titled Never Trust the Ginger. Brett Early's works feature equally unusual subjects including lightning-wielding robots, a bone-carrying Sasquatch, and a disoriented-looking blue monster. This Saturday will be your last chance to check out the fun show, as there will be a closing reception from 7 to 10 p.m. (Artwork by Kate Renee)
