This week Leslie Jordan, the self-proclaimed "gayest man I know," will be at Camp Bar for five hilarious evenings of storytelling. After a successful run of Stories I Can't Tell Mama last year, the Emmy Award-winning actor will return with Fruit Fly, a show that asks the age-old question: Do gay men become their mothers? Inspired by a series of photographs from his childhood, Jordan takes the audience on a journey starting with his birth and ending on a gay cruise to Alaska with his mom. The 90-minute piece is filled with both funny and moving stories. "People should come and see my show, because not only is it a wonderful night of theater and you'll laugh until you poop your pants, it's also thought-provoking," Jordan says. "It's everything that theater should be." Jordan opened Fruit Fly in New York City at the All For One Theater Festival, and plans to take the show to Europe next year. (Photo by Kelly Smith)
