Now in its 15th year, MCAD's annual art sale is a scene to behold. Here, you'll find over 6,000 works on display in various rooms, in hallways, and stacked in hidden corners as every square inch of the three-floor event space will be utilized. The sheer amount of artwork can be overwhelming at first. But whether you are looking for something in a specific dimension, visual style, or just a cool gift, you'll certainly find it here. The show and sale features the work of students and alumni, and includes comic art, paintings of any scale and style, photography, sculpture, furniture, jewelry, and pretty much anything else you can imagine. The event is usually packed Friday and Saturday, when admission is a little more economical, but things tend to move smoothly and it is usually pretty easy to navigate the crowd should you want to take a closer look at something that catches your eye. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the artists and the school's scholarship fund.
