This Saturday, the Gallery @ Fox Tax is hosting an opening reception for "Line Dance: Glass Block Photography by Polly Norman." Norman creates her pieces by shooting high-resolution black-and-white images through a Pennsylvania glass block, adds a layer of photograms (reverse, camera-less photography), and finally hand-paints the archival prints. The results are some fascinating works that play with shape and line. As a dance photographer and student, Norman coaxes an element of movement from her photographs that is quite stunning. The artist has received local, national, and international recognition, including the 2010 Bush Foundation Artist Fellowship and the 2004 McKnight Foundation Photography Fellowship. The opening reception is from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, October 20.
