Trail of Terror

A mere two weeks ago the Trail of Terror grounds was a medieval village filled with friendly Ren-festers. Now, the site is a one-stop party featuring all things Halloween. For those who like to celebrate the season with heart-stopping jolts and creepy chills, the Trail of Terror offers quite a few options, such as the haunted woods walk, the winding maze, the slimy Crystal Caves, the jail, and Lockdown, a sensory-deprivation experiment. In between the fearful moments, folks can visit the gypsy grotto to have their fortunes told, dance at Club Scream, warm up at the bonfire, play some beer pong, or sing their hearts out at karaoke. There are even a handful of special events during the festival, including the Zombie Pub Crawl, which boasts trivia, tours to the three on-site bars, games, and more (for 20 additional bucks), and the Phantom's Feast, a dinner-theater experience featuring Jim Cunningham's one-man show, Dark Carnival (tickets are $55-$65). Visit trailofterrorfest.com for more info.
Thursdays-Sundays, 7-11 p.m. Starts: Oct. 11. Continues through Oct. 28, 2012
