It's hard to dislike someone as lovably goofy as Pete Holmes. A graduate of the thriving Chicago comedy circuit, Holmes is an unstoppable jack of all trades. Whether he's providing the voice for the E-Trade baby, penning cartoons for The New Yorker, or hosting his breakthrough comedy podcast, You Made It Weird, he rarely comes off as anything but ecstatic about his work. If he wasn't so screamingly funny, his enthusiasm would probably be insufferable. However, Holmes's energy is incredibly infectious, so it's no wonder he's so successful with audiences. His 2011 album, Impregnated with Wonder (Comedy Central), is an hour-long marathon of smack-your-forehead absurdism that flat-out refuses to take itself too seriously. The L.A.-based comic's career reached a crossroads recently, as he has taped the pilot for TBS's new late-night program, The Midnight Show with Pete Holmes, which is intended to fill the midnight slot following Conan. Comedy nerds, keep an eye out for this wild and crazy guy, because things only seem to be getting bigger for him.
