This Saturday, the Nordeast Big River Brew Fest will be outside the Grain Belt Bottling House. Organizers are planning for over 1,000 people at this year’s festivities, where there will be samples from over 200 international, micro, and craft beers. Look for local representation from the likes of Summit, Grain Belt Premium, and Northgate, which is located in northeast Minneapolis and inching closer to opening its brewery. In addition to all the great beer, there will be food on hand so you won’t have to drink on an empty stomach. Proceeds will benefit Eastside Neighborhood Services, an organization that serves the people of northeast and southeast Minneapolis in addressing basic needs and issues like family violence, parenting, literacy, employment, and aging. So, it’s not just that you’ll be quaffing a multitude of delicious beers, you will be doing so for a worthy cause.
