Though this is the second year that the Soo Visual Arts Center has hosted its sideshow party, it will be the first year that it will be fashioned into a fabulous block party at Pat's Tap in the Kingfield neighborhood. Here, you'll find a variety of carnival games, performances, and whimsical activities featuring local artists including Jaime Carrera, Tara Costello, Jennifer Davis, and Joan Vorderbruggen. Have your fortune told by the mysterious Zoraya, get your picture taken with giant animal crackers in the photobooth, wander through the "unicorn mountain" installation, or try to catch something in the mobile fish tank. There will be plenty of local food — including something dubbed "Minnesota-biome-flavored cotton candy" — and spin art to take home for your wall (or fridge).
