While the Minnesota State Fair doesn't start for another week or so, folks looking to get a little bit of a fair fix will want to visit the Minneapolis Institute of Arts this Thursday. Art Perchance is part benefit party, part art show, and part carnival. During the event, revelers will be able to try their hand at a variety of games at booths that are both carny and arty. Winners won't be playing for a highly flammable stuffed toy, however, but instead for tickets that could win them art in one of the evening's many drawings. Pieces on display will showcase local and regional emerging talents working in a variety of mediums, including jewelry, painting, photography, and more. Beer and live music by the Brian Just Band add to the festivities.
