It's the best time of the year for Costaki Economopoulos. The popular comedian is a huge football fan, and in honor of the start of the 2012 season he has created a series of memes on his website. They feature suggested slogans for all 32 NFL teams. The Vikings' quote is, for example: "You Think Long Division is Tough? Look at THIS Division." The project took a long time to develop. "I've been running them in clubs and rewriting them," he says. "There were five teams that really stumped me, so I took another swing at them. With some of them I ended up with a few good ones." The idea stemmed from the last election cycle, when he suggested slogans for the slew of candidates on both sides of the presidential primary ticket. "I loved the premise, and as the NFL season approached I wanted to do something with it." Politics is another reason he loves this time of year, and he's been enjoying the material generated by the presidential campaign in particular. "Mitt Romney ran the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics. So how does he reconcile being against gay marriage, but for the two-man luge?" Meanwhile, President Obama also puzzles Costaki. "He was talking to members of the Philadelphia Eagles, and he said he'd like to be able to have Vick's slide. Apparently he has the same desire for his approval ratings." 18+.
