More About

Over the years, local artist, performer, and musician Michael Gaughan has made the Minnesota scene more quirky and entertaining. He has masterminded scavenger hunts that send participants off on tours around the city in search of secret concerts at unusual locations. As Ice Rod, he takes on the persona of a college student who (hilariously) serenades random folks on Chatroulette with freestyle rap. He is currently exhibiting his art at "Buck Turbo," a show featuring his comedic watercolors and other works at the Burnet Gallery at Chambers. Soon, he will be heading to San Francisco for grad school. But first he plans to throw one last party at CO Exhibitions. The night will feature a funny motivational speech from Gaughan himself, and there will be live music from Wild Wing, Erin Smith, and other acts. Guests will also receive a memento of the evening, as the artist will be sketching art cards for anyone who walks in the door.
Sat., Aug. 4, 7-10 p.m., 2012
