For this month's Free First Saturday, the Walker's "Open Field" is transforming into a magical land filled with fortune tellers, sirens, and witches. At Garden Quest, guests will get to dress up as different mythical characters in a fun day of live action role playing (a.k.a. LARPing). With the aid of a map, designed by Andy DuCett and personalized with a choice of three different images of the Spoonbridge and Cherry by LunaLux, kids will let their imaginations run wild. They'll be able to cast spells, and try their hand at sword play at a special battle school as they encounter trolls, evil lords, and hermits. Also, be sure to catch a performance of Tom Thumb the Great, as the group of five singers and four musicians will introduce young music lovers to Baroque music. Concerts are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Belvedere sculpture.
