While gamblers with an appreciation for stats can hedge their bets on horse races, how easy is it to pick a winner when camels hit the track? Can folks predict the likelihood that a slower-paced animal like an ostrich may very well grow bored and decide to walk in the other direction, or stop and eat dirt? These are things to consider between laughs at Canterbury Park's Extreme Race Day. This Saturday, the raceway will be filled with wild animals that aren't quite as majestic as horses, but are entertaining nonetheless. However, fans of foals fret not: Horses will be featured in races of unusual distances as well.
