More About

This weekend, thousands of folks will head over to Loring Park to celebrate LGBTQ pride and to have a good time. As usual there will be quite a variety of activities to suit the interests of any visitor, from sporting competitions, to family-friendly shows and activities, to art exhibitions. Events kick off Friday for foodies with the Beer Dabbler, featuring 20 breweries and tasty treats. But the festival really gets going on Saturday, with marriage ceremonies, live music (Kelly Rowland headlines the evening's show), political organizations, theater performances, and info on services and resources in the Twin Cities. Sit on the grass and enjoy the sun, or take a walk through the park and see what you'll find. Sunday's party begins early in the morning with the Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Parade, which runs down Hennepin Avenue starting at Third Street and ending in the park at 11 a.m. For more info, visit tcpride.org.
