While there are a million LGBTQ-friendly celebrations going on around town this weekend, there's one dance party you'll definitely want to hit up: Grown & Sexy Pride. At First Avenue's inaugural Pride weekend event you can roll up to the rainbow carpet in your flashiest getups, as the music will be pumping all night long thanks to DJ Shannon Blowtorch. Hosted by local performers Sweetpea and Nadine DuBois, the event mashes up a raging dance night with killer performances between DJ sets by Iva Handfull, Ray Gunn, Bazuka Joe, Dykes Do Drag, and Black Hearts Burlesque. You can also check out the "Grown & Sexy Row" for some neck-wear bling from Haute Under the Collar, North Star Rollergirl merchandise and tryout sign ups, and lots more. The event will certainly bring a little sparkle and shimmy to your night, and a dollar from each ticket will go toward fighting the Minnesota marriage amendment on the ballot this November. 21+.
