One excellent byproduct of our society's ever diminishing attention span is the 10-second film. Why slog through two hours of a movie when you can get the idea in mere seconds? The Soap Factory's annual Ten Second Film Festival always brings a slew of weird, creative, and at times profound additions to the genre. This year, the event has been moved up from the Fourth of July to this Saturday as part of Northern Spark, the dusk-to-dawn arts festival in Minneapolis. So be sure to make the Soap Factory one of your stops for the night, where high art and low-fi technology collide in a quirky and fun evening of artistic excellence. Festival emcees this year are from the 3rd Kind, a sketch comedy troupe featuring Ian Fishman, Hannah Wydeven, Sidney Oxborough, Dave Christians, and Kevin Albertson.
