Grand Old Day 2012

For nearly 40 years, Grand Old Day has celebrated businesses and neighborhoods along Grand Avenue with music, food, games, shopping, races, and the annual parade. This year, festival organizers will divide St. Paul's iconic street into four different regions. Visit the arts district to create a headdress, shop for crafts, and contribute your artistic talents to "Paint a Piano" and the newest art car. Stay fit at the sporting district with tons of great activities and games sponsored by the Minnesota Wild, St. Paul Saints, Timberwolves, Lynx, and the Minnesota RollerGirls. Get your groove on at the entertainment district, where local music favorites Solid Gold, Charlie Parr, Soviettes, and dozens of others will perform throughout the afternoon. Don't forget to check out the Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contest there, too. The family fun activities district will keep the little ones entertained with a petting zoo, bounce houses, pony rides, and face painting. So head on over to the Midwest's largest one-day festival for scrumptious eats and drinks, fantastic tunes, and the best way to begin your summer adventures. Visit www.grandave.com for more info.
