After collaborating and recording with countless San Francisco Bay Area bands early in his career, Ty Segall finally got serious about his solo career with last year's exceptional Goodbye Bread, which found the talented singer-songwriter scaling back his cacophonous garage-rock arrangements in favor of a more accessible but still inventive sound. Segall's new record, Hair, is a collaborative affair with White Fence (Darker My Love's Tim Presley).
