More About

The original Sister Spit, a feminist- and LGBTQ-friendly spoken-word group, disbanded in 2006. However, co-founder Michelle Tea is bringing its lively spirit back with Sister Spit Next Generation Tour 2012. During this free performance at the Bell Museum of Natural History, guests will be able to listen to best-selling author Dorothy Allison (Bastard Out of Carolina) and comic artist and writer CassieJ. Sneider. There will also be raucous performances from writer and musician Bronez Purnell, playwright Erin Markey, and slam poet Kit Yan (who is also Mr. Transman 2010). Michelle Tea will be on hand to play host. Expect energetically subversive discourse, entertainment, and multimedia performances.
Sun., April 15, 7:30 p.m., 2012
