Now in its tenth year, the Writes of Spring event has extra reason to celebrate this Saturday. The annual happening typically packs dozens of authors into the Once Upon a Crime Bookstore for a day of author chats and book signings. This year's party will feature 34 writers (that's eight authors an hour for four hours). Thirty-two of those authors have been published recently in Writes of Spring, an anthology of short stories and prose from local talents including Linda Koutsky, Anne Frasier, David Housewright, William Kent Krueger, and Jess Loury. If you're looking for a crash course in the Twin Cities mystery and crime lit scene, this is a great opportunity to do so.
