So, you started drinking at noon, you've hit up both parades, and you have no idea where your left shoe is. It's obviously time to head home and sleep it off, and driving is obviously not an option. Thankfully, all MetroTransit buses, light-rail routes, and the Northstar commuter train will be free from 6 p.m. until the last stop of the evening. So while all those giant green beers sucked too much money out of your wallet, if you plan ahead, your ride home doesn't have to cost you anything (although it's always a good idea to carry cab money just in case). Plan carefully, though; some transportation stops running as early as 7 p.m. and buses stop picking people up once they reach capacity. For more info on routes and times, visit metrotransit.org.
