More About

The Rosalux Gallery opened in 2002 with hopes of bringing greater visibility to local artists outside of a commercial environment. Ten years, one move, and more than 70 artists later, the space is now the longest running arts collective in Minnesota. Past shows have included "Platinum Black," an exploration of the darkest color of all; "Peepshow," a yearly benefit party featuring playful videos and naughty art; and "Open Door," an ongoing series that highlights emerging artists in the Twin Cities scene. This Saturday, the gallery will be celebrating a decade of success. But rather than hosting a retrospective exhibition, Rosalux will be displaying new work from its 20 current members. The show will feature mixed media, sculpture, photography, paintings, and other works from folks including Terrence Payne, Shawn McNulty, Laura Stack, and Amelia Biewald. The opening reception is from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, March 10. (Pictured: Bart Vargas, Past Present Pink)
