Folks with a killer sweet tooth will want to be sure to attend Share Our Strength's Cakewalk, a benefit party featuring treats from local confectioners. Headlining the tasting event will be pastry chef Michelle Gayer of Salty Tart and mixologist Johnny Michaels of La Belle Vie. Guests will also be able to sample desserts and specialty cocktails from places like Heidi's, Sun Street Breads, Sea Change, Bogart Loves Bakery, Chef Shack, and others. In addition to all-you-can-eat sweets and an open bar, there will be music, dancing, and a raffle. While nary an attendee shall leave hungry, their sugar binge will be a guilt-free one as 100 percent of the proceeds from the party will benefit Share Our Strength, a nonprofit that strives to end childhood hunger by 2015.
