Minneapolis-St. Paul Fashion Week is always loaded with cute and chic pop-up shops filled with vintage finds and brand-new designs for women. But what about the fellas? This year, the creators of NorthernGRADE Menswear Market will host SnowGRADE, a pop-up menswear event. Minnesota-based apparel retailers J.W. Hulme and Pierrepont Hicks are no strangers to these types of happenings, and after planning several successful NorthernGRADE events, the leather satchel and handmade tie sellers decided to try their hand at a prestigious Fashion Week shindig. Architectural Antiques will serve as the stunning setting for a day featuring original menswear from the heartland. There will also be a bunch of activities for guys, including demonstrations on canvas waxing, ax restoration, proper shoe fittings, and beer brewing from Northern Brewer. Once the sun begins to set, Michael Grey, frontman for Minneapolis new-wave group Mercurial Rage, will spin records at the party. Meanwhile, Phillips Distilling Co. and Clancey's Meats and Fish will supply the drinks and nosh for anyone looking to chow down after this shop-til-you-drop fest for dudes.
