It makes sense that January would be National Soup Month. It is, after all, one of the coldest months of the year, and soup is perhaps one of the most filling, warming, and affordable meals ever to hit the dining room table. This Saturday, Midtown Global Market will celebrate the wintertime staple with its yearly cook-off. Here, guests will be able to sample a wide variety of soups from local chefs and restaurants inside the market, and vote for their favorites. Taste something you really like? Take the recipe with you, then shop for ingredients at the market.
