Are you interested in experiencing more local theater, but find yourself overwhelmed when looking through all of the offerings in town? Sample Night Live, a monthly sneak-peek happening, may be your best solution. January's installment will feature short pieces from performers favored by the Sample Night staff, and should serve as a nice appetizer to what's onstage in the Twin Cities. As usual, the first show at 7 p.m. is kid-friendly, and will include music from Edie Rae and Sarah Morris, improv from the Bennets, plus theater from Greta Grosch and the Looney Lutherans, and Chameleon Theatre Circle, who will be presenting a bit from their upcoming play Almost Maine. Things get a little more mature for the unrated 8:15 p.m. show, which includes spoken word from Katherine Glover and Khary Jackson, music from Bad September and house band the Smarts, and improv from MORPH. Greta Grosch hosts, and Linnea M. Doyle will be creating live art during the show.
First Wednesday of every month, 7 & 8:15 p.m. Starts: March 3. Continues through Jan. 4, 2010
