Despite the fact that Mason Jennings sold out First Avenue back in November with this very same lineup, he returns to the venerable Mainroom just over a month later for one last celebratory local gig with his Minnesota material before his successful year draws to a close. For a guy who used to play weekly gigs at the 400 Bar back in the day, I'm sure Jennings will have no difficulty changing up the show just a bit for his dedicated fans, who will surely fill First Ave once again. This performance is a well-deserved victory lap for Jennings, who released one of the best albums of his career in 2011, and also a way for him to thank the Twin Cities music community for continued support for all these years.
