More About

Two years ago, the XYandZ Gallery hosted its first show, "Ryan Quirt: He was hip. He liked to dance." The exhibition featured works by Quirt, a local artist who passed away at 24. Since that time, the south Minneapolis space has held a slew of great gallery shows including the trippy paintings and prints of Drew Peterson, the large-scale murals of Broken Crow, and local rock photography. For its latest exhibition, "TWO," XYandZ will celebrate its second birthday by inviting a handful of past artists to curate a portion of the space. It was requested that each participant choose one established talent and one emerging. Past exhibitions have varied widely in style, content, and medium, so expect a group show that brings a lot to the table. There will be a public reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, December 2.
Nov. 25-Dec. 17, 2011
