You'd expect the idea of coked-up, fuzz pedal-equipped high school marching band blare to be fun for two or three minutes, maybe five or six depending on the distortion index. Props to the Lips for stretching this notion out for six fucking hours without ever even starting to flag, even a little bit.

How many ways can "indifference" be spelled? What would the Hood Internet do?

Has time been kind to "Twisted Transistor"? It's actually a rather defensible song? In the face of very recent, very rancid evidence, I'd say definitely.

Nothing this band will ever accomplish will be half as awesome as singer Tyler Glenn's moussed-within-an-inch-of-its-life Mohawk is right now.

The choppy interpolation of Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock's (not really, but sorta), a 99-cent synthesizer bleep disc, and some random James Ferraro bullshit: a trainwreck on paper, falafel-for-thought in practice.
