Outdoor light parades can be a lot of fun, but sometimes the weather gets to be too intense. And while hunting for the best-decorated homes through neighborhoods can be a lot of fun, wasting gas and money this time of year is less than ideal. Fortunately, the IBEW Holiday Lights in the Park is a sure thing for lovers of festive outdoor decor. This season, people are invited to hop in their cars with friends and family (and maybe even a thermos of hot cocoa), and cruise along a trail featuring more than 50 large-scale light displays and moving sculptures. The event, open daily through December, will benefit a handful of local charities, including Second Harvest Heartland, Union Gospel Mission, Saint Paul Parks Conservancy, and UnderConstruction.
