More About

You don't have to be a polar bear to enjoy Calling All Polar Bears, although you might see some in the show. The play features Inupiaq Eskimo interdisciplinary artist Allison Warden. Throughout her one-woman production, co-presented as part of Intermedia's Catalyst Series and Pangea World Theater's Indigenous Voices Series, Warden plays animals and people from her village of Kaktovik, located in the heart of Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. The work explores climate change, the push by corporations to extract resources from the Arctic regions, and the impact of these issues on indigenous communities and the environment. There will be a pre-show reception opening night at 5 p.m., and post-show discussions follow Friday and Saturday evenings.
Thursdays-Sundays, 7:30 p.m. Starts: Nov. 17. Continues through Nov. 20, 2011
