The variety of creative work that Henry Rollins has put out over the years, ranging from poetry to music to parts in movies, make it clear that he is a Renaissance man. With the publication of Occupants (Chicago Review Press), he can now add photographer and political commentator to his résumé. In it, Rollins shares images from his travels to countries in conflict, including Kuwait, Afghanistan, South Africa, and Iraq. Some photos capture soldiers in a moment before action, others explore desolate landscapes littered with the remnants of war. Each picture is accompanied with Rollins's thoughts on it, giving context to each piece. He'll be in town this Wednesday to discuss his latest project in what is sure to be a packed event.
