Folks looking for some authenticity in their haunted-house experience won't be disappointed by the Real Haunted Tours. Here, there will be nary a rubber-masked Freddy wielding a razor glove or a disorienting hall of mirrors. Instead, you will be invited to take a genuinely spooky one-hour tour of the old movie theater in dimmed lighting. Learn about the history of the space and the ghosts believed to inhabit it as you are led by two experienced paranormal investigators. Many folks have captured light orbs and strange sounds while in the building, so be sure to bring a camera or recording device. Fans of Ghost Hunters and other supernatural reality-television shows will be familiar with the question-and-answer part of the evening where guests will be invited to pose queries to the spirits, and possibly receive answers on the EVP machine if the ghosts are feeling talkative. Be forewarned though: One of the male ghosts is pretty randy, so some of his responses may be intended for adults only. Call for reservations.
Saturdays, 5-11 p.m.; Sundays, 5-10 p.m.; Fridays, 7-10 p.m. Starts: Oct. 1. Continues through Oct. 30, 2011
