King Mini, the adventurous ghost-like blob that roams through the netherworld of Vincent Stall's imagination and comic art, gets a tangible, physical home at CO Exhibitions this weekend. Called Canyon Land, this new world is a series of installations that conjure—with real-world materials and finely wrought illustrations—scenes from Stall's King Mini comic series. Transformed into an apocalyptic playground, the gallery will hum with the imaginary sounds of saws, and the smells of forests on fire. King Mini will, as always, prevail. A new book documenting his adventures, also titled Canyon Lands, published by 2D Cloud, accompanies the show. The opening reception is from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, October 8.
