More About

The unexpected Broadway smash and Tony Award-winning musical comes to the Twin Cities in a production that will be loaded with local references. The interactive play's location will be shifted to the metro area, with local jokes and references sprinkled in. Beyond that, each evening will have a different vibe, depending on who joins the company onstage for the spelling contest, making for a rare mix of musical theater and improv. It's the kind of vibrant musical that Latte Da has brought to the Ordway's McKnight Theatre over the past several years to great success, and this edition—featuring Tod Petersen, Kim Kivens, and Metropolitan Opera member Brian Frutiger—has all the hallmarks of another success. Latte Da artistic director Peter Rothstein directs and choreographs the production.
Wednesdays-Saturdays, 7:30 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Oct. 6. Continues through Oct. 30, 2011
