"People need to laugh," comic Bobby Slayton says, "because they're miserable." So the veteran standup, also known as the "Pitbull of Comedy," does his best to lift the spirits of his audiences, even though he doesn't have much time for the general public. "I hate people," he states. "They're moronic. People ask me where I get my material. I just walk down the street and I just look at people littering, not making a right turn on a red light, hitting their kids. Everywhere I walk, there's another fat fuck stuffing his face. It's amazing to me." It hardly leaves time to keep up with current events. "I follow 'em, but I don't really talk about them, because I find that most people are bored to death by them." Pop culture also is a tricky subject for Slayton. "You'd be surprised how many people in the audience don't have a Rolling Stones record. What is my pop culture might be totally different to somebody else. I don't really give a shit about [celebrities]. I basically stick to what I know." 18+; 21+ later shows.
