While there may still be a few opportunities left in the season for sundresses and flip flops, those days are quickly disappearing as the brisk winds of fall whoosh through our city. And while it's sad to see the tank tops and shorts disappear, it's hard not to get at least a little excited about the sweaters, boots, and jackets that will undoubtedly speckle the runway at Envision Artopia. Now in its ninth year, this fashionable party will once again feature great looks from locals in two runway shows. Designers whose work will hit the catwalk include Amanda Christine, Arwyn Birch, and Caroline Hayden. Also look for stylings from shops such as Cliché, Karma, and OPM Boutique. At the party there will also be live paintings and art installations, music by Jevne, a silent auction, and the vitaminwater zero Designer Challenge, wherein Jenny Carle, Sarah Holm, and former Project Runway contestant Christopher Straub will create looks inspired by the drink's different flavors. VIP tickets include spirit tastings and food sampling from local restaurants such as Barbette. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Young Survival Coalition.
