Sure, there's probably a farmers' market right down the street from you, but a little road trip can be a fun way to enjoy a summer weekend. At this market you'll be able to shop for a myriad of local foodstuffs, from honey to apples to herbs to sauerkraut to flowers. There will also be plenty of other cool things to peruse, including jewelry, art, and household items. This market is held at a winery, so be sure to take a tour of the facility, sign up for a wine-tasting session, and pick up something that will pair nicely with your organic cheese and fruit purchases. Kids can enjoy hanging with animals such as friendly dogs, pigs, donkeys, and chickens that all like to be petted and/or fed.
