Some like to honor the Fourth of July with fireworks, others prefer a backyard barbeque, and then there are the folks who like to get drunk on a porch and enjoy gas-station sparklers. But if you prefer your holiday celebrations to be a little more old-fashioned, then load up the family and head on over to farm for some fun, where wholesome activities will abound. Here, you’ll be able to pet and feed some friendly lambs, take a horse-drawn trolley ride, and play 19th-century games on the lawn. There will also be patriotic contests and a costumed staff to share fun facts about the early celebrations of America’s birthday.
Mon., July 4, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 2011
