While the pros at the Nature Valley Grand Prix will be zipping through the city at incredible speeds this weekend, this race is a little less intense. In fact, competitors will most likely be frantically pedaling while the notorious pub on wheels rolls onward at a reasonably slow pace. But that's half the fun. For this daylong competition, teams of 8 to 10 riders will pedal down Hennepin Avenue in hope of being the fastest. Groups are encouraged to dress up in themed outfits such as superhero costumes or the gear of extreme athletes, which should make the spectacle even more amusing. Meanwhile, onlookers are invited to party in Surdyk's parking lot, where there will be live music by Jack Klatt & the Cat Swingers, edible treats from Chef Shack, and plenty of drinks from New Belgium beer.
