Cartoon illustrator Ron Campbell has had a decades-spanning career, bringing life to iconic shows including The Beatles, The Smurfs, Rug Rats, and Scooby-Doo. He will be in town this weekend at Gallery13 to exhibit his work and meet with fans Friday and Saturday. In conjunction with this visit, the Loring Theater will be giving an animation theme to this month's cabaret, where Campbell will be in attendance. The event opens with an artists' bazaar. Performances will be introduced by emcee Steve Barberio, and include music by A.Wolf and Her Claws, spoken word by Ascentia, an animation screening with MCAD Animation Club, death-defying stunts from the Aerial Collective, and more. Campbell himself will also take the stage for a Q&A on his career. After the show, stay late for a dance party with Flared Bass Collective.
