An arts organization turning a quarter-of-a-century old is nothing short of an amazing feat, especially in these precarious times. Yet Patrick's Cabaret has thrived over the years, hosting performance nights, workshops, dance parties, and concerts. This Saturday it will celebrate with a daylong block party. Things get off to a solid start at 3 p.m. as colorful characters will march from Matthews Park to the venue. Throughout the day guests will be able to enjoy live music, tarot readings, and an advice booth (ala Peanuts' Lucy) outdoors. Indoors, folks can check out paper-making demonstrations, storytelling, and dance. After 8 p.m. the party fully moves inside with a cabaret featuring performances from Patrick Scully, Venus DeMars, Heidi Arneson, Arturo Miles, and others, followed by a dance party for all.
