Live Painting/Community Breakfast

Tear it down, until the sun comes back around. The Northern Spark celebration ends at sunrise, making the Power of the People Community Breakfast a "one last chance" event. The free breakfast will be prepared by Robert Karimi, the first-ever artist-in-residence at Intermedia Arts. Karimi performs under the moniker Mero Cocinero Karimi, a.k.a. "Your Homie Cook," and serves up political zingers along with his food. The night before, Intermedia Arts will stay open as part of the festival from 11 p.m. on. During the evening graffiti artists Jojo (Murals by Eros) and Peyton (House of Daskarone) will be painting the building's exterior, so drive or walk by to see them at work. Or stay awhile and hang out. Inside, the "Art of Tibetan Survival: Artists' Vision of Tibet and the Tibetan Diaspora" exhibit will also be available for viewing. If you leave for other Northern Spark events, be back at 5:30 a.m. for a warm breakfast for your belly and to watch the sunrise. Vegan-friendly options will be available.
