Looking for a surefire fun way to spend Memorial Day weekend? Check out the Memory Lanes 2011 Block Party. Presented by 89.3 the Current, this three-day event features some of the best pre-summer entertainment in town. On the outside stages, catch the hottest live music in the Twin Cities, including Mark Mallman, Pink Mink, the Goondas, and Lucy Michelle & the Velvet Lapels. Inside, feast your eyes and ears on cool DJs and a performance by burlesque artists Tomahawk Tassels and the Tribe of Tease. Hosts vary each day and range from television personality Ian Rans from Drinking with Ian to Tomahawk Tassels to Ben Crew of Profane Existence media cooperative. There will also be one-handed games to play and a celebrity dunk tank. Don't forget to visit the beer tent and check out Memory Lanes' menu all day long. Whether it's sunny or rainy, the show will go on, so bring the kids and the dog. All ages.
