Queer Bike Gang's Mustache Ride

Is there a better fashion statement than a 1970s porno 'stache and short shorts? Well, clearly. But none are as fun. This is why the Queer Bike Gang's first ride of the season is mustache-themed. The meet-up starts at the Berger Fountain in Loring Park. The ride will be casually paced, as cyclists are getting back into bike-riding shape. The route will wind through northeast Minneapolis, making stops within the Art-A-Whirl festivites. While May 22 has been officially declared Harvey Milk Day, this is not a commemorative ride, as the Queer Bike Gang has members of differing political persuasions. Discussions on how to promote the rights of queers, including low-income individuals, women, and people of color, are welcome. Extra points will go to those personifying their favorite mustachioed character; try to be deadpan when you tell your buddies that you are off to a free mustache ride.
