St. Paul had its art crawl last month; now it's time for northeast Minneapolis to have a turn. This weekend thousands of folks will flock to this art festival, which offers open studios, parties, demonstrations, performances, and more. Over at the Q.arma Building (1224 Quincy St.) there will be a Tibetan art exhibit, plus three floors of open studios (be sure to stop by Jayme Halbritter's space to have your picture taken). Over at the Northrup King Building (1500 Jackson St.) guests can check out art from this year's "ArtCrank," watch a vintage letterpress machine demonstration, and view traditional Chinese brush paintings. Over at the Casket Arts Building (1781 Jefferson St.) kids and kids at heart can enjoy whimsical sculptures at Franconia Art Park's satellite exhibition, live music, sculpture-making workshops, food, and face painting. CO Exhibitions (1011 Stinson Blvd.) will be hosting a garage sale where visitors can shop for posters, prints, and rare LPs while snacking on beef jerky.
