Are you adequately prepared to rock? Have you removed your reading glasses, marked your place in your Annotated Shakespeare, and are now ready to begin to rawk? Joseph Scrimshaw and the folks at Joking Envelope will attempt to merge oil and water when they bring the rock musical to the library for this twist on the Jekyll and Hyde story, only with a librarian who isn't saying "shhhh" anymore. Scrimshaw provides the book and lyrics, while Mike Hallenbeck rocks out as the composer and musical director. The cast features a number of area comic actors, from Anna Sundberg to Mike Rylander to Phillip Andrew Bennett Low. A live trio—anchored by Scrimshaw on drums along with Adam Whisner and John Riedlinger—will drown out any Uptown traffic noises and let the Theater Garage walls shake.
