Of all the bars around town, none are quite as glamorously masculine as Prohibition. Which makes sense; the space was originally constructed to be the private office of Wilbur Foshay, after all. It is fitting then that this Thursday the posh den will be throwing a man party of sophistication. On hand to discuss the finer points of whiskey will be Frederick Booker Noe III, a seventh-generation distiller (and great-grandson of Jim Beam). He'll be offering complimentary tastings of Knob Creek Single barrel reserve, a woodsy pour packing a walloping 120 proof. Drinks will be complemented by a small-plate tasting by Chef Josh Hill, featuring hors d'oeuvres for a dude's palate, including truffled hardboiled eggs and pigs in a blanket. Be sure to wander into the back room to pick up a hand-rolled cigar. (Photo by Helga's Lobster Stew)
