This exhibit will feature work by local artists Mitch Loidolt and Brett Von Schlosser in what will be their first large-scale show. Animator and design artist Loidolt's previous work can be seen in The New Yorker, as well as in T-shirt form at Threadless.com. Von Schlosser is perhaps best known for his blog, the BVS chronicles. Together, their ink drawings, oil paintings, screen prints, and more speak to their playful side, or at the very least suggest an oral fixation (subjects include smoking characters and a cat vomiting up a skinnier cat). The opening party runs from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, April 8.
