My, how time flies. Burnet Gallery, the swanky art space at Le Méridien Chambers, is celebrating its fifth birthday with "Fresh," an exhibition that partially recaps past solo shows. "Fresh" re-invites such remarkable artists as Sonja Peterson (her delicate, intricate paper cuts were a huge hit last year), Chris Larson (of the deep-frozen images), Allen Brewer (wondrous and disturbing folk art), Andrea Stanislav (the sparkle queen), and six others to show new pieces. Of the 106 artists shown since Burnet opened in 2006, these local contemporary creative individuals represent the tip of the iceberg in the diverse media and aesthetic approaches deployed by today's art makers. The opening reception is from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 12. (Angela Strassheim, Untitled (Nude in bus, self portrait))
